For Others…
Because I like projects and my mastery of the Dolf De Roos and Earl Nightingale way of doing things is as yet incomplete - I have to seek contracts to top up my entreprenuerial aspirations.
This has resulted in some incredible opportunities for my development and creative learning, I have worked in the Military, Aerospace, the movies, service industries and flying positions.
Some really cool projects that I have instigated, led or actually hands-on contributed to, for and on behalf of my various employers include;
GKN - Aerospace:
Virtual Reality mechanical systems trainer [1999] [my project commission and design, Tarique/Maelstrom project team]
National Air Traffic Services Virtual systems Trainer [2000] [same again]
Weta Limited [some projects]:
Lord Of the Rings 3 [ROTK] Film Premier Sculptures and miniatures
King Kong Venture boat model [check me out 1:38]
The Vintage Aviator:
I built the following aircraft and fabricated many of the wood, metal and composite parts:
WW1 Aircraft Museum Replica - RAF RE8 Scout/Fighter
Real flying reproduction 2x BE2c [early and late], 3 x BE2Es, 1 x BE2F
Refurbished Mk4 lancaster and later Lincoln wrecks into a single movie quality interior/exterior set piece - with many working attributes.
Community Service Projects:
May 2010: Wellington Childrens Hospital Visit to Hood Aerodrome/Snap Roll Cafe
As part of my thank you to the Universe for me being able to have such an awesome life experience - I try and help out the community where possible- especially the less fortunate or more vulnerable [kids and animals are my "thing"].
In this particular outake, I was somewhat cheeky and asked the fantastic RNZAF [championed by Fl. LT Mike Williams] if I could borrow a couple of their transport aircraft to fly some sick children to Hood aerodrome for the day - the awesome team at Hood Aerodromes’ Snaproll Cafe would provide food, drinks and many, many lollies/chocolate [followed by a tour of the Vintage aircraft and rides in some ground vehicles mentioned above].
This was perhaps one of the most fun and rewarding projects I was involved in - to see the smiles on the childrens faces was just heartwarming!
if you like the idea of a community project and have an idea, please do get in touch 021 999 539 and we’ll get the ball rolling!
